The Rhodopes are situated on a crossroad, where during the centuries different cultures met, clashed and interwove creating a real mosaic of customs, beliefs and traditions that everyone can now touch. The Rhodopes are the homeland of the legendary singer and musician Orpheus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/anotherwaymarkmoreno.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">&#8220;Another way&#8221; by Mike Moreno<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/betweenthelines.mp3\"><\/audio><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">&#8220;Between the lines&#8221; by Mike Moreno<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The exiting part of the festival takes place near the Rhodopes&#8217; highest peak &#8220;Perelik&#8221; on the stage of &#8220;Bear house&#8221; over 2,000 m altitude, where the music stands out among the magnificent pristine nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy contemporary jazz with elements of rock performed by Peter Slavov from New York with his trio:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike Moreno &#8211; guitar from the USA and Dimitar Semov &#8211; drums from Bulgaria.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Slavov is the co-leader of New York-based collective Open Ended. Peter has performed at some of the most prestigious venues and festivals around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading his own band Mike Moreno released his debut CD &#8220;Between the lines&#8221; on World Culture Music. The band is a quintet including tenor and piano, playing all his original music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students at the Summer Academy organized by the New Bulgarian University will participate with their own improvisations, based on Rhodope melodies.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/jazzperelikzwei-b48.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/jazzperelikzwei-b48.jpg 640w, https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/jazzperelikzwei-b48-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ycbs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/jazzperelikzwei-b48-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>EYOT is the band from Nis, Serbia.
