The Nantes Academy has one of the highest numbers of participants in the Brigitte Sauzay program with around 200 students involved in it. They are paired up with students from Germany, and then go and live in a German family and the process is reversed with the German participant going to France. The value of such an exchange is ten-fold, not only from a linguistic perspective but also from a cultural perspective, and not only for the students themselves, but also for the parents, who often meet each other. Euradio Nantes interviewed two girls who were participating in the program and had been paired together.
