A letter to my son, a Story by Elena Ilkova
One young woman was waiting at the airport in Thessaloniki for her flight to Iceland. She was holding a small boy and was acommpanied by her husband. Suddenly I realized that I understood every single word of her speech. Later, we sat close to each other and came in contact, because of her sweet child.
Her name was Elena and she was originally from Macedonia, now studying creative writing and English language at the University in Iceland, she told me. Elena loves writing stories, therefore I suggested to send some of them to YCBS. We recorded some excerpts of a personal and emotional story, a kind of letter to the son. Listen to it!
