I love Bach, I love Beethoven

25-year-old Iskandar Widjaja is a virtuoso violinist. He loves standing on stage and performing famous pieces of music created by such composers as Bach, Beethoven or Ravel. At the age of four years he decided to play the violin. Iskandar comes from a family of musicians. His grandfather is a well-known composer in Indonesia. Iskandar is of multiracial origin: his mother is of Chinese ancestry but she was born on Sumatra Island and currently lives in Berlin.  From his father Iskandar has Dutch and Arabic descent. Iskandar sees Indonesia as his second homeland where he is treated as a shining star of classic music. 

The Bach enthusiast stands on stage as soloist. Besides, he enjoys teaching young violinists. He gives lessons not only in Indonesia but also in many other countries. Lately, Iskander was invited to Valdres (Norway) to educate young music talents and perform concerts with them.
