Horse breeding, mountain ranges, pure nature – these are said to be the symbols of the Caucasus. Politically, the North Caucasus comprises the Russian Republics – autonomous regions inhibited mostly by Muslims. Geographically, it encompasses the northern slope of the Caucasus mountain range, as well as a part of its southern slope until the Psou River.
